Fostering Local Talent

Decrease text sizeIncrease text size

Though Deccan Chargers could not finish close games, Overall the season was fun and i think Adam Gilchrist really stepped up to hold the team well during Laxman's absence. I hope Gilchrist and Laxman will be able to carry the good work into the next season and we will be able to finish the games. But one alarming thing for concern-- Lack of talent from local teams.Only Ojha,Ravi Teja and Arjun Yadav are from Hyderabad Ranji Team. I hope Chargers Mangement utilises talents of all star cricketers to foster and develop local talent during offseason. Other franchises seem to have local talent step up during critical moments of game. As Gilchrist said we are missing the big moments in all games when needed. I believe local talent can always help win the games with big performances. Hope as the IPL evolves Deccan will be able to unearth local talent and win more games.

LUV U Chargers

Dead rite bro. We just have

Dead rite bro. We just have to have Flintoff. IT would be a super Golden Goose kinda buy with Freddie in our team.

With england ready to take

With england ready to take part from next year i think bidding for flintoff at any cost would help the chargers......as it would strengthen the weaker bowling of urs without disturbing the batting strength
Afridi should be used more as an opener because he is at his best when he is attacking and cannot rotate the strike at ease which laxman can do better.....so laxman can come down the order............proper batting order is what chargers needed.......

gilly
afridi
gibbs
symonds
rohit
laxman
venu
bangar
ojha
r p singh
vijay kumar

this should be the order i think........and venu and rohit are playing a good part with their bowling along with their extraordinary batting that should be made use of.......
having the indian fielding coach as our coach and still putting up a poor show on the field is not at all acceptable........
